Al-Shabaab's Improvised Explosive (IED) Targeting KDF Soldiers Kills a Buffalo On Kenyan Soil
A buffalo was killed after it stepped on a powerful improvised explosive device (IED) that ruthless Al-Shabaab terrorists had planted in the ground. Sources have revealed the militants planted the IED near the Kiunga border in Lamu County, targeting Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers and police officers who usually carry out routine patrols in the region.

Dwarf Whale Species Spotted in Kiunga, Lamu
A dwarf whale species was yesterday spotted on Kiunga sea shows by sea rangers.The small animal was spotted by eagle eyed rangers at first thought the animal was dead due to injuries sustained probably from a boat ferrying miraa to Kiunga. “Ranges officers’ who spotted the whale helped it back into the sea, it swam its way into the deep waters with the rangers keeping an eye on it from the sea shore, “Warden Wyllis Osore reports.

Government Makes Bug U-turn, Announces Abandonment of Former Pres. Uhuru Kenyatta's Mega Project
In 2015, former president Uhuru Kenyatta's government announced plans to construct a Seven Hundred Kilometer wall ( 700KM ) between the Kenya and Somalia porous border in efforts to tackle the increasing threats from the Al Shabaab terror group. The wall would stretch all the way from the Mandera border point to Kiunga border point in Lamu.

To keep Al-Shabaab at bay, the KDF built a 700-kilometer wall during the tenure of former President Uhuru Kenyatta. That wall may now be taken down. Aden Duale, the defense cabinet secretary for President William Ruto, reportedly said he would knock it down. The wall has also been labeled as antiquated and useless by Aden Duale.
