A university student was on Wednesday, November 9 stabbed at a bar in Noonkopir area of Kitengela and later died in hospital after a fight over a barmaid. However, the 26-year-old student was entangled in a rangle with an unknown man over a woman at the bar before being stabbed in the back right-hand side.The Slain student was later rushed to Kitengela Sub-county Hospital but died on arrival.

Two smartly dressed men have been captured on CCTV surveillance cameras drilling a hole at a phone shop in Kitengela and escaping with goods worth over KSh 700,000.The daring heist occurred on the night of January 12 after the suspects booked two rooms adjacent to the shop.According to Daily Nation, the two men took eight hours to drill a hole into the shop.The CCTV footage recorded the suspects entering the shop from the backside at around 5:08am.The theft was reported at Kitengela police station as investigations commenced.Moses Kariuki who operates a shop and was a victim of the night theft, said that the thugs have been terrorising locals for long and that no action has been taken.
