The issue of discipline in schools has turned out to be a huge challenge that needs serious attention. Drugs and substance abuse has now spread from the community to schools and an urgent intervention needs to be put in place before the situation gets out of hand. Kisumu man was arrested by police officers after he was found not having a face mask. The man later died days after arrest allegedly from the injuries sustained from the beatings. The man identified as Maurice Ochieng' collapsed at his workshop in Maseno and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
A man was found dead inside a parked car near the Hass Petrol station along Kisumu- Busia road in Otonglo area, Kisumu West sub-county on Wednesday evening.According to the petrol attendant and a security guard Vincent Odongo, the man was found lying across the front seats of the car with no movements nor pulse.
The residents of Maseno in Kisumu county are in confusion and disbelief after another man collapsed and died mysteriously. According to reports from reliable sources, the man identified as Maurice Ochieng was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital, minutes after he collapsed at his workshop. According to Maurice's wife identified as Akinyi, his husband had succumbed to injuries after he was beaten upon being arrested by the police for not wearing a face mask.
Speaking on Wednesday at the Kenya School of Government in Nairobi, Matiang'i hinted at new restrictions to be imposed in some western counties and Nyanza counties following a hike in covid-19 cases.
