Family of a couple who were burnt alive in Kisii County are now calling for DCI's intervention after they had a clash with police officers. Mogua Moruri, a resigned headteacher, and his significant other, Florence Mogoa, the headteacher of Gekongo SDA Primary School, were scorched alive on Thursday, July 29.
The family of retired Headteacher Mogua Moruri and his wife Florence Mogua the headteacher of SDA Gekongo primary school clashed with the police over their theory on how the fire erupted and now want the Directorate of Criminal Investigation to intervene. According to Kisii county commissioner Allan Macharia, the fire was caused by a fire from a gas explosion but the family feels there are malicious perpetrators who are still at large and have to be brought to book.
