Justice Kimondo Kanyi struck out Daniel Ayiera's application to disallow Mr. Nyaribo and his deputy James Gesami from the proceedings because they had not appeared in person to testify in the matter where they are listed as parties.

A Nyamira court has granted orders for scrutiny and recount of votes of the County Governor's seat that were sought by a petitioner challenging the election of governor Amos Ayaribo. A petitioner is challenging governor Amos Ayaribo's victory during the August 9 general elections. The petitioner told the court that Governor Amos Ayaribo's election was rig and that he wants the court to cancel his election.
