A Poor Innocent Child Survived 15 Hours In a Pit Latrine

On Wednesday, a one-day-old baby girl was found alive in a 20-meter pit toilet for 15 hours after her mother abandoned her. "The boy's mother will face charges of attempted murder and failure to declare the birth," Katanga police chief Laurence Njeru said. The incident, which took place in the village of Kimandi Wanyaga, Mr. Njeru described as "an attack on the right to life, the mother dumped the child alive in the toilet left hoping to die".
