The upcoming Kiambaa constituency by-elections have threatened the once mighty and ruling Jubilee party as the polling day to elect the new Kiambaa constituency Member of Parliament and the Maguga ward MCA draws closer. Jubilee party's main headache in the contest is the newly formed United Democratic Alliance(UDA) under the stewardship of Deputy President William Ruto and his allies who were edged and kicked out of President Uhuru Kenyatta's party last year.
Kiambaa campaigns are on a higher gear as candidates continue to hunt for votes ahead of the by-election slated to happen on 15th July. A fierce contest is expected between Kariri Njama of Jubilee party and Njuguna Wanjiku of UDA. The People's Empowerment party led by the Gatundu member of parliament hon Moses Kuria defeated the Jubilee party in Juja , while United Democratic Alliances carried the day for Ruiru Ward by-elections.
