According to TV47 Kenya report, out of the 22 polling stations, UDA candidate Wanjiku Njuguna had 3030 votes, Jubilee candidate Kariri Njama has 2455 votes while the other candidate had 6 votes. According to this report some reported that this showed a clear win to the UDA party.
On 15th July Kiamba residents held a by election in a bid to chose there preferred member of National Assembly. So far the counting process in ongoing. The process has had to be done the whole night. Early today in the morning the IEBC commission halted the counting process this is after the Jubiler candidate Kariri Njama protested over the results saying that he suspects there was ridging in favour of the UDA candidate John Njuguna.
On 15th July Kiamba constituency residents held a mini poll for their member of Parliament. The poll saw a very competitive race between Jubilee's candidate Kariri Njama and UDA's candidate John Njuguna Wanjiku. The polls which were made to look like a competition between the president and his deputy saw the deputy president's candidate John Wanjiku win the election with a very slight margin.
According to a report from IEBC in a hotly contested seat, UDA candidate John Njuguna wins narrowly with 21,773 votes as Jubilee candidate Kariri Njama follows with 21,63votes. It was reported that this took Jubilee candidate time in order to accept the defeat from the hotly contested seat.

Amos Muhinga Kimunya, who is a Majority Leader of the National Assembly has come under sharp confrontation with members of Kimunga polling station.
The deputy president William Ruto has gone for a retreat to Zanzibar with some of his allies. The list of his allies that accompanied him to Zanzibar contains only leaders from rift valley region only. Ruto went to Zanzibar with 7 leader, this follows UDA win in Kiamba by-election some few weeks ago.
It's three months later since the demise of Kiamba Constituency MP Paul Koinange who died succumbing to COVID-19 related complications at Nairobi Hospital. The position has remain vacant for this period attracting candidates to vie for it where it's a battle between UDA and Jubilee's Kamau Thumbi and Githunji Mung'ara respectively.
