The giant Dock Workers Union (DWU) is up in arms against the government’s move to merge Kenya Pipeline Corporation, Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) and Kenya Railways Corporation (KR) without due process being followed. DWU General Secretary Simon Sang said they will move to court to stop the process to merge the three firms if it is done without the laid down procedures being followed. He cautioned the government any attempt to go ahead with the process without the involvement of parliament will meet with resistance.
