M23 Spokesperson Lawrence Kanyuka used social media to air out their concern after they spotted heavy weapons that the military was using. In a tweet seen by this writer, Kanyuka noted that the government of DRC had forgotten the peace talks that former President Uhuru Kenyatta has been facilitating in his quest for peace in the eastern side of DRC.

M23 Group Silenced In Goma DRC As KDF Soldiers Develop Strategy To Restore Peace

Kenyan troops deployed in Democratic Republic of Congo DRC under the United Nations Organinization Stabilization Mission in DRC (MONUSCO) carried out patrol duties in the general area of Mamove village within Beni-Mavivi territory. During the four-days Long Range patrol mission, the troops were received by Chief of Operations Congolese National Army FARDC Colonel Morris and Chief of Intelligence Congolese National Army FARDC Colonel Gasto who assured KDF troops of their full support during the entire mission.
