Information Communication and Technology Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru campaigned for the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition and its presidential candidate Raila Odinga during a football match at Ihururu stadium in Central Kenya. The cabinet secretary took the opportunity to respond to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance's claims that he was planning to rig the elections in favour of Raila Odinga.
President Uhuru Kenyatta will not be campaigning for Raila Odinga as earlier anticipated. This is according to Jubilee party vice-chairman David Murathe. Speaking to Daily Nation, Murathe noted that the head of state will take a back seat so that he can hand over power to whoever wins the upcoming elections.

The technocrat who is vying on the Jubilee ticket under the Azimio la Umoja umbrella said, as a principal advisor of the governor, Mike Sonko fails to consult him.
