According to reports, three residents from Meru county have decided to take the Head of State to Court, seeking to stop the tribunal he (President Ruto) appointed to investigate the conduct of the 4 commissioners, Vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera (resigned), Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit and Justus Nyang'aya (resigned) from kicking off its hearings.

Three residents of Meru have gone to High court seeking to stop the tribunal formed to investigate four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commissioners who protested during presidential election. Philemon Kiogora, Godfrey Kinoti and Joshua Mwirigi, through their lawyer Kiogora Mugambi, have challenged the mandate given to the tribunal set up to investigate the conduct of the IEBC vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera and the other three Commissioners.
