A group of Kikuyu Elders have performed traditional rituals in Sagana town, Kirinyaga County to appease the gods before allowing contractors to cut down a mugumo tree. The historic tree was cut down so as to pave way for the construction of the Kenol-Sagana-Marwa Highway, which is still under construction.
