Barely a month after signing a one year deal worth close to Ksh 50 million, Harambee Stars top midfielder Johanna Omollo marked his debut with Turkish second tier club Kocaelispor over the weekend. Omollo who was included in the matchday squad was unused substitute as his club settled for a goalless draw with Ankaragucu in a Turkish division 1 match.With only two matches already played since the beginning of the 2021/22 season, Omollo's club is currently 15th with one point on the league table.

On Wednesday 15, September evening through a letter shared through their social media platforms, Football Kenya Federation indicated that they had parted ways with Harambee Stars coach Jacob Ghost Mulee alongside two of his assistants Twahir Muhidin and Haggai Azande on mutual consent. FKF too indicated that they had left coaches Ken Odhiambo and William Muluya as part of the technical bench and further stated that they will be naming a new stars coach soon.This comes barely a week after Stars FIFA World Cup qualification campaign kick off against Uganda and Rwanda where they managed two points only.
