KRA granted Power to Sell Tax defaulters properties under Finance Act 2022
Individuals and businesses groups were having to file returns upto the end last month. Kra's defaulters risk seizure and auctioning of their properties. The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) last week gave the defaulters who owe an estimated Sh250 billion in tax arrears up to August 30 to apply for the waiver on penalties and interest.

A tax refund notice which has since gone viral on distinguished social media platforms intimated that a seven business days grace period had been instistuted by the Revenue board to allow tax payers to claim tax refunds.
