According to the public notice issued by Dr. Jairus Musumba, County Secretary and Head of County Public Service, members of the public whose motorcycles had been impounded by the county government enforcement officers, otherwise known as Kanjos for flouting various traffic laws, have been directed to assemble tomorrow at Nairobi County Inspectorate Training School (Dagoretti Corner) for the release of the motorbikes by Governor Sakaja at 8am.

Nairobi County government has now banned nightclubs in residential areas. Governor Johnson Sakaja has also cancelled licences for those that were already in operation without an opportunity for renewal. The Nairobi Governor has said that licenses will only be issued to premises that are operating within CBD. In a letter by the Acting County Secretary Jairus Musumba, the county bars and restaurants should control noise pollution in the residential areas.

The county government of Nairobi has abolished all licences for night clubs and liquor stores that operates within the residential areas; Additionally, the county government there will be no night club licences or renewal for enterprises outside the Central Business District. Jairus Masumba, The head of County Public Service, said in a statement that those who have already been issued with licences , will therefore be cancelled and their enterprises may continue operating only as bars and restaurants.Moving forward, night club licences will only be issued to enterprises in the premises within the Central Business District and only few selected streets in other non-residential areas.
