The Higher Education Loan Board has launched a bid to make Interns under the Teachers Service Commission and the Public Service commission to start paying their loans. The board Chairman Charles Ringera stated that just like other interns under the Board of Management and Presidential Digital Talent who repay their loans monthly, those under the Teachers Service Commission and the Public Service commission should do the same.
Huge Amount of Money Interns Employed on Permanent and Pensionable Terms Will be Paid by the Govt
To address the predicament of staff shortages in primary schools and secondary schools, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has allegedly agreed to do an overhaul that will see almost 21, 550 interns on board this year. However according to a report covered by Sunday's standard publication dated 15th January 2023, Interns who will be employed by the government on permanent and pensionable terms will be paid a stipend monthly salary that will range from Ksh 25, 692 to Ksh 30, 304 depending on some unknown factors.
