Wangarĩ Muta Maathai was a Kenyan social, environmental, and political activist and the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize.As a beneficiary of the Kennedy Airlift she studied in the United States, earning a Bachelor's Degree from Mount St. Scholastica and a Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology, JKUAT, is conducting it's 36th graduation today April 9th. The university has grown over the years and today about 3540 students are graduating with various degrees in different fields. The college of human resource and development is graduating the most students with a total of 1627 students out of the total that are graduating
