Generally, literacy rate in Africa is still low compared to other continents. However, African governments are trying all they could to improve the condition. In fact, some countries in Africa have passed laws thereby making adult and childhood education compulsory to citizens. However, despite low literacy rate in the continent, there are a good number of people in Africa who are highly educated more especially the presidents.
