A lone gunman entered a military base in lower Juba and shot dead at least three Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers. The assailant ambushed the soldiers' camp leading to a fire exchange. Preliminary investigations shown that the gunman fired his rifle indiscriminately, wounding five other soldiers before he was gunned down.
