The bereaved family now warns Kenyans to stop spreading lies regarding him on social media. In a close interview on Monday with NTV, his cousin Gaudencia Tanui revealed Chiloba was a God-loving man since his childhood contrary to the images of an immoral person being painted about him.

Slain LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiprotich Kiptoo, alias Chiloba, has been laid to rest on Tuesday. Chiloba's body was picked from the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday morning around 11am. Hundreds of mourners from all walks of life paid their last respects to him in Sergoit village on land he was supposed to inherit.
