UPDATE: 35 Hospitalized at Metropolitan Hospital Following Monday Night Ofafa Jericho School Fire

Sad as Fire burns down Ofafa Jericho school
A fire broke out of a dormitory at Ofafa Jericho Highschool,Nairobi county on Monday night september 20th.Reports indicated that 50 students sustained burns and were taken to Metropolitan hospital in Burubu.Fire Engines and police officers rushed to the scene in a bid to contain the situation. The hospital's CEO,Kanyenje Gakombe confirmed to the media that students inhaled smoke while trying to put out the fire.

Atleast 50 students as from the time of writing are hospitalised for inhaling smoke while putting off fire from their domitory. The Ofafa Jericho High School Students were admitted to the Metropolitan Hospital in Buruburu, Nairobi. According to the Metropolitan Hospital chief executive officer, Dr. Kanyembe Gakombe, no student had received any burn wounds and that they are only uncomfortable after inhaling the smoke for over an hour while putting off the fire.

50 students are currently hospitalized with severe injuries after they were burnt in a fire that broke out at a dormitory this morning at Ofafa Jericho High School, Nairobi County. The 50 students who sustained burns were taken to Metropolitan hospital in Buruburu for diagnosis and treatment. Fire engines and police officers has rushed to the scene in a bid to contain the situation.
