CS Matiang'i Declares Monday 29th A Public Holiday In These 8 Regions
Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’I has declared monad, 29th august, a public holiday in specific areas, including Mombasa county, Kakamega county, Kitui rural constituency, Kacheliba Constituency, Pokot Constituency, and Rongai Constituency. Other places like; Kwa Njenga ward, which is in Embakasi, and Nyaki West Ward ( Imenti) will also have the holiday.

Kenyans are headed for a long weekend after the government through the ministry of interior and coordination of national government declared Monday, October 10 as a public holiday. In his announcement, Interior Cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’I stated that this move was to allow Kenyans to celebrate their rich cultural diversity.
