Reactions as Mother of Former CS is Escorted To Prison To Serve 69-year Jail Term After Court Ruling

Grace Sarapay Wakhungu, the mother of former Environment Cabinet Secretary and current Kenya's ambassador to France Professor Judy Wakhungu who was battling a Kshs 297 million graft case will now be forced to serve her 69-year jail term following today's court ruling. Madam Grace Wakhungu together with the current Sirisia MP John Waluke were reportedly paid the aforesaid amount of money to deliver maize by the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) without delivering the maize.

The Sh3.7B Kenyan project that will help in combating Climate Change

Kenya loses about 2% of its domestic products every year due to calamities like extreme drought and floods. Kenya has now launched a sh3.7b project in efforts to combat the effects caused by drought due to Climate change.  This project will mostly be targeting people living in areas affected by drought every year and it will be running for a period five years. Speaking during a tree planting ceremony on 27th November 2020 at Hurri Hills Primary School, Environment and Forestry Cabinet Secretary, Keriako Tobiko has told the community to plant trees in their homes, forests and in public institutions to protect their environment. "In the past, we used to say that when you cut one tree, you plant two, but that has changed and we are saying that when you cut one, you plant ten," the CS said noting that this will lead to achievement of 10 percent tree cover.
