Imprisoned Sirisia Member of Parliament John Waluke, has been dealt with a huge relief after he was granted a Sh 10 million cash bail. In a statement via K24 on its official Twitter page on Friday morning, Waluke was released on cash bail pending an appeal of his 67-year jail sentence after he was found guilty of defrauding the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) over Ksh 297 million.

On Thursday, October 6, the Anti-Corruption court issued an order requiring him to pay Ksh1 billion or serve 67 years in prison.
