Most media outlets are still tabulating the presidential election results even though they received permission from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to do so for reporting purposes. In Makueni county, Raila Odinga is on lead with a total of fifty thousand, seven hundred and thirty one votes(80.00%), Dp Ruto comes second with a total of twelve thousand, one hundred and eighty one votes (19.20%), Wajackoyah has a total of three hundred and eighty nine votes(0.61%), Waihiga has one hundred and thirty three votes (0.20%).In Kericho county, Dp Ruto is on lead with ninety six thousand, nine hundred and fifty seven votes(95.38%), Raila Odinga is 2nd with, three thousand, nine hundred and sixty four (3.89%), wAjackoyah has 138 votes (0.13%) and Waihiga a total of 60 votes(0.05%).In Turkana county, Raila Odinga is on lead with fourteen thousand, nine hundred and ninety two votes which is a 66.28%, DP William Ruto is in the 2nd position with seven thousand, three hundred and forty seven votes (32.48%), Wajackoya in 3rd position with fifty four votes (0.23%), and Waihiga in last position with a total of twenty seven votes.
Raila Odinga and William Ruto are reportedly at their homes in Nairobi, awaiting election results on August 9. It has been stated that an update on the counting process is currently being provided to the two leaders.
