In a bid to ensure that all teachers are conversant with the relevant knowledge and skills, Teachers Service Commission (TSC) through the Ministry of Education directed that all primary school teachers (P1) will be required to go back to class with an aim of upgrading their studies.
A one year diploma program to prepare primary school and early childhood education teachers has been put in place by the government. This is aimed at preparing them fully on the new CBC curriculum that was rolled out in January 2020. Majority of the trainees are the P1 certificate holders.
