Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Baraza has promised to co operate with the authorities as they continue to look into his ongoing murder charges. Baraza who has already defended his seat in the just concluded General elections charged with the murder of Brian Olunga on the afternoon of Tuesday August 9.
While addressing the media from the Bungoma police station, an hour after the Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa surrendering to the police, the Bungoma police commander Francis Kooli denied being manipulated by his superiors on how to handle the embattled legislator. The police boss who had been asked by a journalist on whether he had been directed by the DCI or anyone in a higher office on how to handle the legislator reiterated that, there is a legal and judicial system in Bungoma like any other part of this country and the same will be utilized in this case.
Kimilili legislator Didmus Barasa's lawyers move to court seeking bail pending his arrest, after the mp allegedly shoot an aide to Brian Khaemba his competitor. In his application to court, the mp wants to be granted bail pending his arrest to protect his right to life.
