David Lekuta Rudisha is the latest in a long line of media personalities to run for office. The Independent, Electoral, and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has allowed the seasoned athlete to run for the Kilgoris parliamentary seat as an independent candidate. In a letter, the IEBC said, "Reference is made to the subject matter and your letter dated 29 April 2022 on the intention to seek election as Member of National Assembly, Kilgoris Constituency."
Double Olympic champion and 800M world record holder, David Rudisha will be vying for Kilgoris Constituency parliamentary seat as an independent candidate in the polls scheduled for August 9th 2022.
