This is after their MCA Ronald Sagurani died early this year. The seat is highly contested as Daniel Kimuyu from united Democratic alliance party UDA is battling with Fundi Banton from jubilee who is also endorsed by ODM party leader.
The ruling Jubilee Party candidate Hon. Donald Fundi won against Dp William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA) candidate who is Hon. Daniel Kimuyu in the rightly contested seat in Mahoo Ward by-election that was held on Thursday, Taveta sub-county. According to the source, Fundi who flied Jubilees flag garnered 1,609 votes against Kimuyu of UDA who followed closely with 1358 votes
On Thursday, Deputy President William Ruto's UDA Party campaigned in Meru's Kiagu ward by-elections and Taita Taveta's Mahoo ward by-elections. Simon Kiambi was the UDA candidate in the Kiagu elections, while Daniel Kimuyu was the UDA candidate in the Mahoo ward. Kiambi was elected MCA elect in the Kiagu Ward elections.
United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party applicant Simon Kiambi has arisen triumphant in the Kiagu Ward by- political race held on Thursday. Hon. Kiambi amazed his rivals by collecting a total of 2, 240 votes in a tight race that saw his adversary Hon. Milton Mwenda who scoop a total of 1, 823 votes.
