TSC has been recruiting teachers every year to address a recurrent shortage.The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will employ at least 5,000 intern teachers per year. The National Assembly Committee on Finance has fined Petroleum Cabinet Secretary John Munyes Ksh.500,000 for failing to appear before the commitee to answer queries over the hike in fuel prices. Munyes wrote to the committee indicating that he is in South Sudan on official duty. Tending to the matter, the committe administrator Gladys Wanga said their report will likewise show that Munyes has been uncooperative.
The committee, chaired by Homa Bay Woman County representative Gladys Wanga, invited members of the public to submit their views either through a written memorandum or at a public hearing scheduled for September 28.
