Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has described the late President Idi Amin as an illiterate leader who managed State infrastructure. Speaking at State House Entebbe during an event to remember Archbishop Janani Luwum 44 years later, President Museveni said that there was no need for Idi Amin to kill the cleric. The late Archbishop Luwum was harsh a critic of Amin. Luwum was the archbishop of the Church of Uganda from 1974 to 1977 and one of the most influential leaders of the modern church in Africa.
