A teacher who killed husband’s lover after finding them in bed, has been jailed to two years' probation. Joan Chemutai who escaped jail had on December 15, 2020 filed a plea agreement with the complainant and her murder charge decreased to manslaughter, as contrary to Section 202 as spelt out in Section 205 of the Penal Code.

Mama Joyce Chepkemoi is considered a hero in today’s Madaraka day celebration after surviving in 2007 clashes in Kuresoi constituency at Nakuru county and she is hoping that one day she will get a chance to spread the gospel of peace in the country. According to Chepkemoi, she revealed that they were attacked by unknown people where they were instructed to remove all the clothes and later his husband was hacked to death.
Homabay police officers have arrested one guy who is believed to the prime suspect behind Chepkemoi's murder. Chepkemoi aged 23 was a KMTC student pursuing clinical nursing.
