The Commissioner General of Prisons Wycliffe Ogallo, CBS, on Sunday visited Nanyuki GK Prison after 14 capital offenders fled yesterday. The commissioner General went to find out what transpired in the correctional facility that led to the escape of 14 inmates from the Prison. The 14 prisoners were reported to have escaped by cutting door grills using a hacksaw before jumping over the fence.The 14 capital offenders fled from the correctional facility on Friday night and 8 were rearrested as a manhunt for six inmates who are still at large is ongoing.
