The CBC Curriculum is seen as a game changer in the lives of these students.The implementation process is currently in grade five.By 2023,the rollout will begin in the junior secondary schools.At the moment,over 110,000 secondary school teachers are set to be trained by TSC.Majority of the primary school teachers are currently conversant with the curriculum.
Since the roll out of the new curriculum called Competence Based Curriculum which was introduced by the ministry of education, it has received many complains by parents and teachers yet they are supposed to implement it. Not known to many, Kenya is not the country which is under the new curriculum.

A parent narrated how a friend called her at around seven in the evening to tell her that her daughter was given an assignment by the help of the parent to kneel down and pray as the parent takes pictures then print the photos in a nearby cyber cafe.
The current CBC Curriculum may have a different objective compared to the now-being phased out 8-4-4 System, but am not sure whether the cost implications to the parents was ever considered, or even to the Government for Public Schools. Based on a question I posed in this timeline few hours ago and also on my experience as a parent, the CBC system tends to be very expensive, and this is likely to widen the gap in the education system among our children, especially those from well off background and the rest.
