Turkana: ODM Governor Rejects Raila's Call For Protests As He Vows To Work With Ruto Ahead Of 2027
Turkana governor Jeremiah Lomorukai has now rejected former prime minister Raila Odinga's calls for countrywide protests against government over failure to fullfil its 2022 pre-elction pledges, as he vowed to work with president Dr William Ruto ahead of 2027 polls. Speaking at a function in Turkana, Lomorukai asserted that he, together with county residents were not interested in organizing pickets, ordered by Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance, meant to pressurize the ruling administration to honour its promises.

Yesterday evening, the opposition leader Raila Odinga threatened to lead Kenyans for massive demonstrations against President William Ruto's government over the already initiated motion to ouster four IEBC Commissioners who revoked Ruto's presidential win in the August polls. The petition was filed weeks ago and is set to be heard and determined today.
