With less than 2 weeks ago, form one students joined their selected institutions. It has been a busy week for the form one parents as they did everything to prepare their children be enrolled. Again on 26th this month, schools nationwide shall be releasing students back home Mid-term holiday.

Currently primary and secondary schools are on a holliday since closing early last month to allow for conduction of 2022 Kenya Certificate of primary education and that of secondary education. By now the the national examinations have come to an end with that of KCPE already released and for KCSE marking will begin the coming week.
The Kenyan government has bestowed utter importance to education sector and this can be verified from the recently read budget by the treasury cabinet secretary Ukur Yatani who allocated the largest share of the budget to the ministry of education to ensure that it runs smoothly. The 2021 Kenya certificate of primary education candidates are now already places to secondary schools of their choice and they are awaiting for the admission date which will be on 3rd of May 2022, after the now to be form one students will join the schools they will continue using the same academic calender as the rest of the forms.

According to the new school Calender which was brought into functioning after the deadily Covid-19 pandemic invaded the country, all learners in primary and secondary schools will break on Wednesday 3rd, June for their half-term. The half-term break will last until 7th of June then learners will be allowed to resume their classes as normal.

Barely a day after schools resumed for term one academic calender, parents of school going children in Isiolo County have hit out to the Ministry of Education for what they termed as poor timing in the opening of schools. Most of these parents are complaining of inadequate time to raise required school fees to keep their children in school.
