A man lost his life after a deadly fight over food in Bungoma County, sources indicate thay he was ruthlessly beaten by his own brothers after he attacked their mum. According to the DCI, two brothers who were responding to a distress call from their mother are in custody, after they assaulted their elder brother who later succumbed to his injuries.

Flying Squad detectives yesterday arrested two brothers who kill their sibling for beating their mother over food in Elukhongo, Butula Sub-County. The deceased is said to have come back home at around 8pm from chang'aa den and asked for food from their mother. When she said that food was not ready to be served, the 32-year-old son assaulted her badly.
Two brothers in Elukhongo, Butula, Busia County were arrested on Thursday evening, September 23 by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) after they beat their elder brother to death. In a statement by the detectives, the duo was nabbed after they responded to a distress call from their mother which led to them assaulting their brother.
