Just months after the August 9th general elections, a group of experts who conducted a survey have released interesting data on how the credibility of the poll was interfered. According the reports, voters were bribed to vote for certain candidates. It was also found out that some voters intentionally sold their Indentity Cards.
The former prime minister made these claims on Friday, shortly after meeting with ODM leaders in Nairobi, claiming to have CCTV footage of a meeting between William Ruto and Wafula Chebukati's allies at a secret location, shortly before Chebukati stormed Bomas of Kenya, claiming to have been served with the results.
Deputy President William Ruto was declared the president elect in the just concluded general elections. Chairman of IEBC Wafula Chebukati announced that Dr Ruto who ran on United Democratic Alliance party ticket garnered 7,176,141 votes. His closest rival the former prime minister Raila Odinga who on the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya followed closely with 6,942,930 votes.

The Supreme Court justices left the question open after hearing submissions from lawyers who appeared to the plaintiffs. Attorneys representing four dissident commissioners have accused IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati of rigging the election in favour of Deputy President William Ruto. According to the attorneys, the four commissioners knowingly did not participate in the verification process.
