Cases of people engaging themselves in illegal businesses have nowadays gone on the rise. This happens as a 42-year-old woman is in custody after she was arrested by a multiagency security team, ferrying 250kgs of the endangered sandal wood species estimated to be worth Sh750,000. Beth Wambui alias Ma Liam, was arrested at Athi river headed towards Mombasa, and the fine-grained pieces of wood recovered concealed in the trunk of her vehicle.

If You see her report to the nearest police station; The family of John Waweru and Beth Wambui from Kiambu county has been living lamenting since the 5th of January this year( 2022) because of the sudden disappearance of their daughter Hannah Njeri. According to her mother when she was asked about how her daughter went missing, she said that Hannah was a form four student from Kagwi secondary school who was expecting to sit for her final exam this year.

A form four student identified as Hannah Njeri went on missing on 5th, January 2022.The young girl notified the parent that they had an examination in the afternoon on the reporting day and that she needed to arrive early at school. The mother, Beth Wambui planned with her daughter that they would meet at her working place before heading for school.Njeri did as agreed and received ksh 1000 from her mother which she was to purchase a rim of paper at a nearby centre.She was to wait for her mother at this centre for a while to receive the total amount for shopping.

Beth Wambui also known as Ma Liam has found herself in the hands of the DCI after engaging in unscrupulous business. The DCI has recently confirmed her prosecution after she was caught in possession of an endangered tree species. Ma Liam, who was ferrying the illegally acquired goods using her vehicle was nabbed by traffic police officers at Athi River before she reached her destination to Mombasa.
