The Constitution Amendment bill 2020 famously known as BBI is set to receive its final ruling from the Country's Top Court where seven Supreme Court judges will determine the constitutionality of the entire process. The bill was halted at both the High Court and at the Court of appeal where judges ruled that the BBI was against the ideals of the 2010 constitution.

The courts established that the BBI steering committee was unconstitutional and that nothing legitimate can come out of it. They also ruled that the President cannot initiate a constitution-making process under the current constitution thus making the entire process null and void.
Yesterday the Court of Appeal dealt the BBI Proponents a major blow after it upheld the nullification of the Building Bridges Initiative. The move is still eliciting mixed reactions across the political divide. While issuing a press statement to the media yesterday, Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga accepted the ruling and revealed that it was time for the country to move on.
Building bridges Initiative came into existence after the reunion of president Uhuru Kenyatta and the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. They came up with a Committee that went across the country collecting the views of Kenyans over the constitution change. It emerged that the Committee was using taxpayers money to conduct its business.

Amani National Congress party leader honorable Musalia Mudavadi, has informed of what he told the BBI Proponents in the Bomas of Kenya before its downfall, issuing fresh details. Recently, the Supreme Court of Kenya found that the BBI document was unconstitutional. The BBI Proponents were dealt a huge blow in their bid for referendum before the next year's general election. This's after the high court ruling that the whole constitutional amendment process was null and void. It has been revealed that the BBI Proponents are set to launch to pass some bills through the parliament should BBI fail in the judicial process.

A task force was formed and went across the country collecting vies of kenyans that led to formation of a referendum bill. Some stakeholders were not happy with the process at all.
The BBI Proponents had proposed the creation of 70 new Constituencies across the country. The 2010 consititution gives the IEBC the mandate of establishing new Constituencies at the same time it limits the IEBC from tempering with boundaries one year to general election. The whole reguires funds to do survey and other analysis.
The the March,2018 handshake between president Uhuru Kenyatta and the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga resulted to building bridges Initiative. The process was delt a big early May this year when a five-bench judge of the High Court Declared the whole process unconstitutional null and void.
