The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President revealed the kind of instructions he has received about the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) as he promised to proceed with the matter. The Competency-Based Curriculum is the system of education which was introduced by the government of Kenya to replace the older 8-4-4 system, which has been in place for decades.
The supporters of the Building Bridges Initiative are not happy with the decision by the Court of Appeal Judges that declared the Amendment Bill 2020 Unconstitutional, Null and Void. The decision of the judges was arrived at after questioning the Structural doctrine of the document, the promoters, the initiators and many other provisions which according to the law was unconstitutional.
The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) case has now moved to the Supreme Court following an appeal filed by Attorney General (AG), Kihara Kariuki, challenging the decision by the Appellate court to affirm nullification of BBI. Through Solicitor General, Kennedy Ogeto, the AG says he is dissatisfied with the decision of the Court of Appeal and intends to challenge it.
