Ethiopian Tamirat Tola Wins Men 42Km Marathon In Oregon As Kenyan Geoffrey Kamworor Finished Fifth.
Kenyans have continued struggling in the Oregon World Athletic Championships that are currently on going. In the just completed men's 42km Marathon, the gold medal has been won by Ethiopian star, Tamirat Tola who has set a new championship record by clocking 2:05:36. The Ethiopian team have also won the Silver medal.

Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia won the World Championship men's marathon in overwhelming style on Sunday, charging about 34km to finish more than a minute ahead in a championship record time of 2:05:37. Taking advantage of the relatively chilly conditions provided by the 6.15 a.m. local start time, the 2017 silver medalist split the group with a steady acceleration.
