The Embakasi parliamentary seat is slowly turning out to be a two horse race between UDA and ODM. This is despite Babu Owino vehemently denying that the race is between him and the UDA candidate. Babu however seems to be Cornered following the hightened political activities by his competitor Francis Muriithi.
The National Integrity Alliance has provided the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) with a list of political leaders who should be barred from running for any leadership position in the August 9th General Election. "Integrity Alliance tells IEBC that Rigati, Sonko, Waiguru, and Babu Owino should not be allowed to run," Citizen TV posted on its Facebook page.
The list of leaders who are likely to be barred from running for elective seats in the forthcoming elections has grown overnight, with more prominent and vocal leaders being included. On Sunday, May 22, the National Integrity Authority (NIA) ordered the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) not to clear any leader whose name had been mentioned in graft cases.
Today, a non governmental organization as aired by Citizen TV came up with a list of politicians who should be barred from vying for electoral positions. The list had many members including Rigathi Gachagua, Babu Owino among others. That the leaders integrity was questionable and they should therefore not be leaders.

Integrity Alliance has named four political aspirants who should not be allowed to vie for any political seat. Former Nairobi governor, Mike Sonko is one of them. He has been involved in corruption cases in the past and also it is important to note that he was impeached from office.
