Raila Odinga's key ally John Mbadi has criticized those in the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance camp, and who are yet to recognize that William Ruto is the fifth President of Kenya. A section of the leaders argued that they will not recognize Ruto as he president but as the deputy of the past immediate regime on claims that the 2022 polls were not credible.
