David Ochieng is one of the most popular Kenyan fashion designers.Ochieng is popularly known as "Avido" which is also his brand name.Avido was born and raised in Kibera.Avido had a poverty stricken childhood as it is for many Kibera residents.Avido dropped out school and later re-enrolled.In his days out of school,Avido was a street dancer and spoken word artist.He however found his purpose in fashion design after joining the Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts.The late MP Ken Okoth also inspired Avido's journey alot.
