Big Win For Ruto As Court of Appeal Suspends Use of Manual Voter Register
In response to an appeal filed by UDA, the Appellate court on Monday evening stayed a ruling requiring the IEBC to use a manual register concurrently with an electronic register, pending the outcome of the appeal. The three-judge bench ruled that the electoral body will follow the court's 2017 ruling in the NASA case, in which the court directed the IEBC to utilize the printed register of voters only when the KIEMS kits fail completely and cannot be repaired or replaced.
