Governor Ann Waiguru has on Wednesday morning found herself in serious trouble after protestors chanting Anti-Waiguru songs took to the streets with placards demanding her impeachment. This has led to a disruption of her Covid-19 drive in the County. Most of the residents who participated in the demo alleged that the Governor had failed to deliver on a number of development projects again and again and now they've had enough. Such projects includes the now stalled construction of the Kenya Medical Research
Ahead of deputy president William Ruto's visit of the Kirinyaga county, protests have been witnessed with a section of youths burning campaign materials belonging to governor Anne Waiguru. According to photos shared by a local media house, Nation, the youths can be seen trying to block some roads with fire lit, the jackets with Waiguru's photos can be seen burning.
