Odunga has made it clear some of private firms that are receiving public money must be audited by the office of the auditor General to ascertain of the money is used for public good or not.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan's government has banned the operation of private chemists and pharmacies around all public hospitals. It has been established that public hospitals across Tanzania send patients to buy medicine outside the hospital by telling them hospital pharmacies are empty. The government through the Ministry of Health has raised concerns about how public hospitals have empty pharmacy shelves while chemists around the hospitals are always full with all varieties of medicines
The Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) now want the government to chip in and provide them with funding as the first cohort of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) gears to join junior high school. Speaking on Saturday, January 15, during an event in Kisumu, KPSA National Chairman Charles Ochome appealed to the state to finance private schools in order to put in place necessary infrastructure for the transition.

The Senate has approved the Kenyan Sign Language Bill, 2021. The Bill requires all government institutions including parastatals, the Judiciary, and schools to ensure sign language interpretation in all public places. If passed by the National Assembly, sign language will become the third official language after Kiswahili and English and will be used in all government offices, schools, and courts.
