Since the turn of the year, over 600 people have lost their lives through accidents. Carelessness among motorists has been mentioned as the leading cause of many accidents around the country.
Another teenage girl aged 19 years had gone missing for 3 days causing confusion to the family. However, the girl has been found dead in Changamwe which is in Jomvu Sub-county, Mombasa County. According to the police report who were called to the scene where the body was found, the girl might have died in a road accident.

Three people died after they were involved in a grisly accident at Koru area along the Koru-Muhoroni road in Kisumu County. The accident involved a Nissan matatu and a white Toyota car. The Nissan had six passengers onboard. Muhoroni Sub-County Deputy police commander Felix Jura said the Nissan was was traveling from Koru town to Kisumu and the car was travelling from Kisumu town going to Kericho town when the accident happened.
The problem of congestion in Mombasa road is not ending soon. Today people were forced to spend hours in the road as a standoff existed between motorists who chose to remain stationary at the expense of using the exit routes created by the contractor. The contractor building the expressway has been blocking some sections of the road without notice something which has resulted to serious congestion.

It was all sadness and grief at the Garissa County government after one of its members succumbed to death after he was involved in a road accident early Friday morning along the Nairobi-Garissa highway.
